Framers Friday: Symmetry

Just Breathe…

Here is what I wrote:

I was extremely frustrated Saturday morning with a project cutting a mirror. It flopped. Spectacularly. I grabbed my camera and went outdoors. Shooting macro always calms me. After wandering for a few, I realized the Indian Paintbrush wildflowers have a radial symmetry of a sort. So, I shot a few different ones from above, picked one, and called it done. It was a cloudy morning with a slight breeze. I shot this handheld. So, this is a consistency shot. It’s the best out of all my other earlier (and later) attempts which includes mirror play. FYI: This paintbrush is a mutated form of a typical one. We have a few of these mottled versions along with some rare white paintbrushes. We had three white ones last year and have four this year so far with about eight more about to bloom.
